Les Deux Alpes
Close to the centre of Les Deux Alpes, the Les Airelles Hotel is the ideal place for those wanting to enjoy a huge range of activities and amenities during their stay. Here you’ll find plenty of restaurants, shops and bars with a lively après ski scene to keep everyone entertained after a day of skiing. The Diable ski lift is just a short walk away from the hotel, providing access to the slopes of the area as well as hiking and walking opportunities throughout the winter.
The Ski Area
With a huge 225km of pistes to explore, guests staying in Les Deux Alpes will find plenty of skiing for them, be they a complete beginner or more advanced. The highest skiable peak is at an altitude of over 3000m, and there are 83 pistes to enjoy, including 19 green and 42 blue for beginner and intermediate skiers, alongside 11 daring black runs and 21 red for the more advanced skiers and boarders. For off-piste skiing, La Grave Les Deux Alpes is the other side of the mountain and provides fresh powdered snow, which is untouched in the early mornings. Those wanting to learn how to ski, or simply improve, can choose from a range of ski schools in the resort, with Madame Vacances’ picks being the ESF Ski School or the European Ski and Snowboard School where there are lessons for children from the age of three.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy away from the pistes in Les Deux Alpes. For a relaxing morning or afternoon, indulge in a pampering session at the spa or spend the day in the town, browsing the designer boutiques. For bad weather days there is a cinema, which opens early when skiing conditions are rough, as well as bowling. Ice skating and sledging are also available for those wanting to enjoy some winter activities during their stay.
