The Le Dévoluy ski domain can be found in the south-west of the Hautes-Alpes region in France. The ski area contains two ski resorts, Super Dévoluy and La Joue du Loup. Super Dévoluy is a purpose built resort with a functional, modern style, while La Joue du Loup retains a traditional village vibe. Le Dévoluy offers extensive skiing, with plenty of choice for all abilities. Le Dévoluy is also more peaceful than the larger resorts, with less crowding in the ski season, meaning less chance of queuing for lifts, and faster access to the aprés bars!
The highest lift in Le Dévoluy sits at a lofty 2500m, and the lowest is at 1500m, giving this resort a large vertical of 1000m. This high altitude provides good snow cover, as well as clear visibility making for some excellent skiing. Le Dévoluy has 100km of pistes and 35km of cross country trails to explore. The 55 pistes are divided into 9 green, 14 red, 27 blue and 5 black. As well as this, there is a snowpark and snowshoe walks. With 23 lifts serving the pistes, travelling the domain is made easy.
The resorts of Super Dévoluy and La Joue du Loup are ideal for those just learning to ski, or those who want to build their confidence before hitting the more intense runs. La Joue du Loup has the huge Riondels green slope running into it, leading direct to a large green learning area. There are two blue runs leading into the resort, the Gaudy and Brocard. For those who just can't wait to get cracking for real, the red Melezes piste also leads back into the village. There are three lifts leading out of the resort; the Chaumattes 2 leads to the top of Riondels, while the other two lead further up the mountain to the blue pistes.
Super Dévoluy is accessed by no less than seven green pistes, with two large green beginner areas right by the resort itself. There are three lifts running from the resort, two leading to the blue pistes further up the mountain, and one to the red Draille pistes.
For time off the pistes, Le Dévoluy has plenty to keep the whole family entertained, from showshoe trekking and dog sledding, to ski joering and pony luge.
If you're feeling a little stiff after a long day on the hill, both Super Dévoluy and La Joue du Loup offer relaxation in the shape of spas with a range of treatments and saunas as well as swimming pools. The sports centre in Super Dévoluy, which was built in 2012, offers games such as basketball, volleyball, football and mini-golf. There's an 18 metre tall climbing wall, a fully kitted out gym, as well as classes and a sauna. Join in with Pilates, yoga, Zumba and body building, or take little ones to the baby gym!

Super Dévoluy offers a more lively nightlife, with several pubs and clubs open to lively skiers. Head to Pub le Loft, La Fournaise and Le Chalet for full-on apres partying, or Le Sans Souci and Le Vi Ai Pi Altitude for relaxed drinks outside, DJs and even sun loungers.
